I loved the graphics in this video- they really added to the material and made it clear for me. The speaker had a very clear voice and excellent explanations. I would definitely watch this to study for a test because I thought it looked like a professional company produced it. The only thing I would change is some of the citations that popped up at the bottom of a few photos. Some of them stayed on the screen a little longer than they needed to and were distracting, especially when the fast moving hand was on the screen. Overall, I thought this was a really great video.
Seemed really fast and was hard to follow at times
I really enjoyed this video because it was very well made. The voice over was perfectly matched with the situation and the examples used in the videos were very easy to follow. I also liked how it was a very happy video. I thought that the diagrams used was clever and also useful in allowing to me to understand the different examples better. I also felt like the group pulled in some great outside sources to compliment their video and examples.
I really enjoyed your video! The cartoons made it interesting, and the examples you gave made it more relatable and easier to understand. Great job you guys! =]
Great job. I enjoyed the scribe format, it allows for a creative output for your material. The editing and recording process were very well done as well.
I think this group did a good job with the video project. Their content was appropriate for an intro biology audience. They did a good job with the transitions and organization of content, though I believe it would have been even better if they had avoided introducing so many graphs. But all in all it was a great video.
Nice analogy to “cheating the system” at the beginning of the video. It felt like there was a little bit of lack of background, in that before the viewers know much about the basics of the material, research paper material is almost immediately introduced. Production quality of the video was good – good audio balance and visuals. Overall though, it seemed like research material was very quickly presented without much information prior, making it very difficult to follow. Good definitions of vocabulary and explanations of that vocabulary. Nice references to other research articles.
The video kept very well to the assignment rubric in its explanation of the statistical aspect of the study. I also liked the medium for the slideshow. However, I felt that some of the narration/material was a little too technical for both a lay audience and even this one. That said, the clear ending cleared up some of the confusion in the middle–I liked how y’all provided a clear answer to the assigned question. Overall, good job!
PS who’s hand is that
The video was very good and contained a lot of information. I enjoyed that the video was very concentrated on the details of the experiment. The most important thing I learned from this video that was without cheating there should be an equal representation of all genotypes, as demonstrated in the graph. I would recommend some of the animations of the writing on the screen be taken out. It did make it a little difficult at times to watch the video, but overall the video was very informative and well executed.
Great video! I liked how the video started off with a nice, fun analogy that lead into the main topic. The information was nicely portrayed through the animations. I really enjoyed this video!
